We are an offline introduction and matchmaking agency based in London. We get to know our clients one-on-one with the goal of finding them the perfect match and the COVID-19 outbreak has changed the way they work.
"We can't send our client on a date anymore," Marie said. "But we're still gonna do this, we're gonna keep business running, and we're gonna keep it open."
"The dating game has changed as most typical date spots like restaurants, theatres, and musicals have closed their doors. But that's where we had to be more creative for our clients. " Stéphanie Tumba, managing director of Human Connections London, says.
She continues" We have introduced virtual dating. After a match is made, we introduce our couple to each other on House Party or Zoom. After introducing each other and explaining why they will make an amazing couple, we let them connect on a video chat for their first date. From there, we include to their date virtual events, the latest being Swan Lake at the Bolshoi Theatre of Moscow or virtual tours of popular sites such as the Eiffel Tower and the Statue of Liberty."
"I think this is an opportunity for people to not be in a bar or restaurant and connect on a deeper level at a speedier pace," Marie said adding, "you can tell who is the marketing girl here. Stephanie is a magician when it comes to find ideas. I have never met anyone that resourceful."
As long as social distancing continues so will the virtual dates, and even though Human Connections London never imagined going the online route, it's most likely here to stay.
